Today my mom is here and we are loading up a u-haul to go to the Funky Junk Sisters show this weekend! I was just going to rent a trailer, but then I realized that me + backing up a trailer = trouble.... Plus Jason is out of town (great timing by the way) so no help there..
So we went with the whole big truck... I can drive that thing like nobody's business.
Thought I'd show you some of what were doing today and then I'll show how it all looks set up at the show. I'm hoping it looks better at the show. :)
Usually I obsess over what the end result will be, but since this isn't my first time at the rodeo I feel a little more comfortable. Still obsessing today and probably tomorrow, but at least it hasn't gone on for weeks like in the past! Too busy with Jason gone anyway...
Here is how far we got yesterday afternoon until it started down pouring. Looks like not much huh? But guess what I'm selling? The Hutch
I just decided that for my life right now I need a cabinet with no glass doors... Cause you know what I've been keeping in there on display through my lovely glass doors....?
A bunch of kids crap! Crayons, papers, pencils, books etc. That is what not I had in mind when I painted that bad boy...
So I'm buying a little Hoosier cabinet from Karen. Remember my love of Hoosier cabinets? Yes well Karen has one that doesn't look right where she was gonna put it, so I'm getting it!! Yay me! It has solid doors, so no one will know what kind of stuff I've got hidden behind them.
Okay on to more pics.
Look at this table cloth! I love red with turquoise!!
Look at our cute tags... Seriously. Love them. Old playing cards. I know brilliant! Oh, but I of course stole that idea from someone else, but I've never seen cuter cards.
This is just a peek at a table just like the one I had at the last show only that one was red/white (and the cutest lady bought that one) and this one is green/white.
Hmmmm.... I just love this table it just screams the 50's and that is my favorite decade ever! I wish I lived then and wore June Cleaver dresses and aprons and baked bread....
Sorry, I think I may have a touch of ADD... On with the last photo...
Fun stuff huh? And this is really nothing! You have to come to the show to see it all.
I think there are close to 100 vendors!!! It's going to be huge and just imagine all the goodies that will be there to be brought home!!!
Come see me!
