Yesterday we picked up the boys at school then headed with our friends Brad and Sarah to Lake Tapps. Brads brother Scott and his wife Kristy have a house there. It was supposed to be 90 degrees, so we figured we should make the most of one of the last hot days of the year.
It was so much fun!

This photo is a bridge that you can jump off of. Actually you're
not supposed to jump off of it and we kept worrying about the Po coming
to get us. But we made it.
That's me ( looking at the water
wondering why I said I would jump off of it, because it always looks so
much shorter when your in the boat than when you are on the bridge
about to jump off) Brad, Scott and Jason.
This is Scott and he is crazy.

Again with the crazy. That's Brad watching.
Brad almost doing the splits going in the water....
There are photos of me jumping in but I can not bring myself to post them. They make me want to throw up in my mouth a little. But I did jump and once I did it I want to keep doing it! It was so fun!
None of the kids would go. Last time they were there Brad and Sarah's son Eli (who is Sam's age) did it a bunch of times, but not yesterday. Ben went up and looked over, but decided against it.
Then we went to a place where they have a huge rope swing and it may not look huge, but it is. I didn't even consider doing it. :) Ben did, but again decided against it.
That's Scott again.
Brad on the rope swing.
This one might be my favorite photo of the day. The tough guy with all the tats has to plug his nose going in the water. :) Just kidding Brad, it's funny... just funny.
I love it how everyone is watching in the background.
Jason going in with Ben watching.
Jason wouldn't go to the high platform and jump off. Brad kept saying "you're going to regret it, just do it" and guess what was the first thing Jason said when we got home? "I really regret not going off the platform." But Brad said it looks ridiculous when you are up there and super scary. :) Next time for Jason.
Then we went to another bridge to jump off and I know this photo looks like nothing... But there is a story...
So It was just Brad, Scott and I that were going to jump off of it. The climb up those rocks is pretty steep and slippery.
So I was going up second and Scott had just said "Jill, grab my hand" and I was just reaching for it and I barely touched it and I just fell straight backward. (Scott said later it was just like the movie "Cliffhanger")
And apparently Brad did something to ease my fall, but the only thing I remember was thinking "Oh I'm just going to hit water, it will be fine" and the next thing I know I hit this hard and sharp pointy rock, right on my backside (kinda above my hip and to the side).
Brad kept saying over and over that he saved my life, but I really don't recall that. :) He said he was just waiting to look down at me and there would be a huge stick coming up through my chest, that's how bad it was. So maybe because there was no huge stick impaling me, that's what he means by "saved my life".
Anyway, we only jumped off that bad boy one time. :)
Here are just a couple more from the evening.
My studly husband.
Don't worry, Scott's a firefighter.
We had a little bbq, then headed home with tired boys and boys who really didn't want to get up for school today. It was worth it though.
