Before and After
Okay, so I promised some photos along the way. The way of freshification. So here are some of the first photos I've taken.
Here is before... Bad photo and pretty boring, if I do say so myself.
So Fresh! :)
I ordered a new shade for that lamp on the right. It will be a much lighter beige color. I also painted the base of it antique white and and antiqued it with brown paint mixed with glaze. I'll maybe get a better photo of that when I get the new shade.
I'm not sure I'm totally done with the shelves yet. I may add a brighter blue frame to one of the photos, we will have to see...
This is a tin tile I got at an antique store then I just made some magnets with antique buttons I had on hand and hung the tin with ribbon I already had as well.
That photo on the top is my dad. Seriously cute.... :)
That photo on the left is my Grandma. My dads mom. She has a fur coat on sliding down a slide! I love it. The other one is my dad again.
The photo with the "I Love You" is my dad as a little one and my grandpa. They were building a snowman together.
We just have so many of these little tiny old photos and I thought a little collage type thing would work good on this tin. The tin is probably 24 inches wide by 12 inches high.
Here is a photo of the whole thing. It hangs to the left of the shelves as you are looking at it.
Anyway, I'm loving the white and mostly I'm just painting things I already have with a few little additions here and there like the tin. But you can get them on ebay for pretty cheap.

The pictures of your Dad is like Sam with darker hair. The snowman building totally looks like him (Sam). I think I need to come visit again to see the changes. It is so much brighter... I Love it!!!!!

Did you paint the shelves and the tin?? If so, then what color?? I LOVE IT!!! it is fresh, and I love your new word, freshification. Thanks for letting us take a peek at your beautiful home.
