Merry Christmas!

Well even with the crazy weather, we are still planning on heading down to Oregon tomorrow.  We have about 8 inches accumulated snow outside.  You would never guess where we lived if I showed you a photo of our backyard.  Looks crazy in our part of the US, that is for sure. 

I really love it though.  People around here are getting pretty cranky with the whole thing, and while I'm usually one of the first to get cranky, if there is a reason to get cranky, I'm surprisingly not about this snow.  It really is beautiful.  I know it will be gone when we get back in town, so I'm trying to enjoy it!

The boys are still loving it, although they get cold faster now that it is not such a novelty.  They are in and out, in and out all day, making a mess everywhere.  :)

Something else I wanted to get down before I forgot was this....  Sam has been singing the 12 days of Christmas and he doesn't really know the words, so my favorite made up line is.... " and a a Partridge in a Pantry!"

Do we live in Montana?

I know most of you probably have snow...  But we have more here than I can ever remember having.  It has even accumulated outside and is staying!  Usually if we ave snow it is gone in a day or two at the most.  We have so much that the road is still covered in ice and snow.  Makes Jason and I feel like we are in Montana!  The snow is even powdery and light like in Montana.

This is the first day we had the snow and the boys were out of school.  I think it was Wednesday.  Jason worked from home that day because he was still scared I was too sick to have the boys with me all day.   I probably would have been pretty worn out at the end of the day without him, so it was nice.

Here is what happens when you force our children to pose for a photo.  I don't know why we do it???  This is always what happens.

This is yesterday.  Full on snow here.  The neighborhood kids got out sleds and slid down driveways for a good portion of the day.  Don't worry... we live in a cul de sac with little traffic.

Looks like Sam is helping the youngest neighbor into the sled?

Um.... that would be a no.   Look at him wondering what the heck Sam is doing!  Poor kid.  Hopefully Jason set Sam straight after he took the photo!

Good times around here.

It is supposed to snow between 3 and 12 more inches here tonight and have 25 to 40 mph winds where we live.  Please lets pray for our power to stay on! 

3 to 12 more inches on top of what we have is crazy around here!

I'm Alive!

I think I may be coming out on the other side of being sick...
That was the worst sickness in history I believe!  Seriously, I highly recommend avoiding Pneumonia. :)

Luckily I think we caught it really early, so that helped a ton.  I'm still doing breathing treatments every 4-6 hours and I'll be really glad when I don't need that anymore.  The feeling is terrible and it really makes me more sympathetic to Sam when he has trouble with his Asthma.  Not being able to breathe normally is the worst.

Anyway, of course I'm super far behind on Christmas stuff, but I did manage to do some online shopping, so hopefully I'll be able to get everything done.  We are heading to good old Eagle Point, OR for Christmas, so I had my online gifts sent there and my mom will feel sorry for me and wrap them for me... So that is a bonus! 

The boys (especially Ben) have taken a liking to Chess, so they have been playing that on the computer and with each other as of late.  Ben can even beat the computer on the easy setting!  I don't know if I could do that!  Sam doesn't really get it, so he just kind of moves pieces around, but it won't be too long I don't think.

Ben has also been wearing this sweet dinosaur truckers hat around.  He loves it!  It is so cute even if it is way huge on him...

Okay well that's enough for today.  Hopefully I'll be back a little more regularly now!

So.....

I went to the Doctor yesterday... turns out I have Pneumonia.  Ugh.  No wonder it feels like I'm gonna pass out and I can't breathe.

Thanks goodness Rose Petal Betty is over for the Holidays.  I would be dying if I had to get orders out, right now.

Back when I'm feeling better...

You won't believe what happened.

Last night was Sam and Ben's Christmas program at school.... and I have the flu!
I missed it. :(

Jason took the boys and he is even sick (not with the flu) and he just barely made the whole night, but he didn't take any photos because he was not up to it.  :(

I am so bummed.  But the school had it professionally video taped, so we will be able to get a DVD of them.  Still won't be same as being there, but better than nothing. 

This is one of the worst flu's I have ever had.  If you haven't gotten one I highly recommend a flu shot this year!  I use to be anti flu shot, but this flu and having Sam with asthma, has totally changed my mind.  Even if you reduce your risk of getting this a little it's worth it.

Hopefully I'll be better in another day or so...  I started getting it Wednesday late afternoon or so... 
YUCK!

Down a tooth...

Although this is Sam, it doesn't really look like him. 

He finally lost another tooth.  He lost the bottom two more than a year ago and then nothing for this long until now!

The Tooth Fairy had to give him a five spot because one time when the Tooth Fairy came for Ben she was out of all smaller bills, so now an unfortunate precedent has been set at our house with the Tooth Fairy....

They are raking it in around here with the Tooth Fairy.

Word to parents of all five year olds and younger... Always carry small bills.

I'm totally kidding.

This is at Zoolights at the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium.

Jason and the boys went on Saturday night, while Jen and I were finishing up my little Betty show.  I was a little disappointed they didn't wait for me, but I know they were itchin' for something to do.  I guess it was pretty cool.

The show was really fun, but there weren't a ton of people.  But it was nice to be with Jen and the girls at the Salon.  The lady Debbie who came with her jewelry invited me to come to a holiday show at her house on Wednesday night, so I'm going to do that.  Everything is all ready to go, so I won't have too much to prepare... 

I've decided to still sell around here, but just no longer on the internet.  My soaps are doing well at my Antique booth and if I go to a show here and there around here it will be more relaxed than it has been.  So instead of stopping all together, I'm just scaling back.   I think it is a happy medium!

The last of the orders from the site are set to ship tomorrow!

I'm here

I'm still here, just wrapping the RPB things up this week.  If your ordered this week, I'll probably get the orders out hopefully by Wednesday of next week.  Still plenty of time for Christmas...

I have a show on Saturday (Dec 6th from 11:00am to 4:00pm) if you are in the South Puget Sound area.  It is going to be really fun and I'm looking forward to it.

One of my super good friends, Jen, is flying in tonight from Phoenix tonight and she will be hanging out with me until Sunday night.  We haven't gotten together in almost 2 years!!  Ridiculous!!  I tell you!  I'm really looking forward to it.

I'm also looking forward to spending the next almost 3 weeks before Christmas a little more relaxed than I was last year!
