Vacation

On Friday I drove the boys over to Spokane and met Jason's mom and Grandma and they took them back to Montana for the week.

Man, when you are never away from your kids it is so hard to have them gone.  I'm trying to enjoy it, but it is not easy to get use to!  We called yesterday and they were up at the cabin in Lincoln with some of Jason's dads family.  They were exploring around and the boys went fishing for the first time ever.  I think they each caught fish in the little creek that flows by the cabin.  I wish I would have seen that.  I bet they were excited.

They are having fun and are down on sleep, so I'm sure they are cranky and wearing out Grandma and Grandpa.

So since I had the weekend to myself (Jason had to work) I drove down to the big Barn House sale in Battle Ground.  I went to meet the boys of the Barn House and check it out for setting up a booth there at some of their events.  I think I'm going to go to the one in the fall.  Just check out the photos there!  Isn't it awesome!  I didn't get there until early afternoon and I'm sure so may of the great things were already gone, but the still had so many great things to look at.  Oh and I forgot to take my camera.  Dang it!

So today I have work to catch up on and I'm going to get my hair cut.  It is currently out of control.  Tomorrow after Jason get off work we are heading out to start the drive to Montana, but we are going to take our time for a change and stop at all the little antique stores I always want to stop at, but having the boys with us and usually being in a hurry we never do.  I think we are going to stay in Cour de laine for at least a day maybe two.  Then we will meet the boys either on Thursday night or Friday morning in Helena.
I already can't wait to see them, but I'm working on enjoying myself... :)

So probably no blog posts for about a week...

Happy Independence Day!

Today

Okay, so you guys are probably getting sick of this, but one of the main reasons I'm here is to drive you all batty, so here is one last garage sale goody.

Scrolly

You can tell me to get out, but I'm not gonna.  Got this at a garage sale and it was a great deal!   It was red and all I did was whip out my magic can of white spray paint and viola....

It is iron and I'm not just sure what I'm going to do with it yet, but I've got some ideas....  Use it hanging in my kitchen as a pot rack?  Maybe...  Use it as a trellis? Maybe...  Just stare at it in my back yard all proud of myself and my good deal?  Maybe....

And today the boys and I drove to The Glass Candle in Tacoma.  I drive by it all the time and think, boy that looks like a cool place, but I had never been there.  So since I was itchin' for some more chandelier prisms for my wind chimes, I thought I'd see if they had some.  Well, they did and the boys and I went on a treasure hunt for them in this amazing store.  You should check it out if you have never been there (and you live close), they had fabulous stuff.

Prisms

The boys were well behaved so we stopped at the strawberry farm and bought a whole flat of fresh berries.  Yum!  I promised I'd make freezer jam after we gorged ourselves with the berries for few days.

Yay summer!!!

Look who is on 2 wheels...

Sam2wheels2

About 2 weeks ago we took the training wheels off and in about 1 hour this is what he looked like.

He goes so fast, it's crazy.  Since then we've had some crashes, but he still loves it.   It's hard to believe he turned 5 in April and is already off his training wheels!  Ben had just turned 7 I think, when we took them off his bike.

They are for sure 2 different kids with 2 totally different personalities.

Don't you just love the tongue out!  Whenever you see the tongue, you know it's serious business.

More Garage Sale Goodies

Here is the before shot...

Cherubsbefore

Not loving the color, but I see some potential here.

There really is nothing like a can of white spray paint.

Cherubsafter

Cherubs

This will be great for my RPB displays at shows.  And  until show time, these little "babies" will stay in the backyard with some flowers on their heads.

It's Official

I have a sickness.   A disease.   Here is the cure.

Crafty goodness.

Chime3

Edited to add:  I made the wind chime.  My friend Jen said she couldn't tell from my post.  Got the inspiration from Rebecca and from goodies I saw at The Farm Chicks.

Oh and that door....  Got it yesterday at a garage sale.... for FREE.... :0)

It has been a great weekend!  I'll post more of my garage sale finds later in the week.  It was a great Saturday around here for garage sales.

Oh, but I'll post one more here before I go make dinner...

Chair

I got this cute chair for $8.00.  With the whole cut out and the old bucket in it already.  WAHOO!
I love to get a good garage sale deal.

No, the flowers didn't come with them, I picked those up at the nursery after church today.  I think I should have picked a different geranium color, but I'll live with it...

More soon.

T-Ball

Tball5

We had our last T-ball games of the season last weekend.  We had some make up games to take care of due to the rain this year (go figure).  So we had games on Wednesday night, Friday Night and Saturday.

Tball6

You don't think this is posed do you?  I can't get him to give a normal smile to save my life.  Good thing he is cute. :)

Tball2

He really had fun this year and the whole team is so much better.  There are a few boys on the team who are REALLY into it and are totally "getting" it.  Ben is not one of them... He likes it, but he is just there to have fun.  I'm glad he's not too competitive yet.  I'm sure that is coming.

Tball3

On Friday night he got to be the catcher.  He LOVES to be the catcher.

Tball4

He loves to be anything where there is some action.  Like catcher, pitcher or 1st base.

Tball

This, however, judging from the look on his face, might  have been too much action.  I love how in T-ball no matter what position you are, you go after EVERY ball, even if your team mate is already on it.

I LOVE this photo.  Look at that little punkin' running on the other team, and look at Amy just over Ben's head, jumping and screaming.  Not sure what position she is playing, maybe 2nd, 2nd baseman.  And Noah who is on second base, doing what he is supposed to be doing.  Believe it or not Ben did make the catch, but I don't think he got back to 3rd base in time for the out...  :)

Tballdeonsanders_copy

And this blurry photo is of Ben doing his best Deon Sanders impersonation after getting out at second base.  He is the clown of the team.

He was last batter for this game and so in T-ball that means you just keep running until you get home or get out.  When he would come up to someone who had the ball to get him out he would run waaaay out of the baseline and in circles to get away from the person with the ball.  Then when he figured out that didn't work he would run up t within about 5 feet of the person trying to get him out (usually at home) and stop and put his hands on his hips.  Then when they moved he would try and quickly dart around them.  It was pretty funny.

Can't wait for next year and coach pitch baseball.

New New New!

Stuff up over at Rose Petal Betty!

I've got a new "Pay it forward"!  Mint Julep Foot Butter!! It is a thick cream for really dry areas, like feet, knees, elbows etc.  Even though the name is "foot" butter you can use it anywhere.
Pay it Forward
I've also got a new charity featured (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) and was able to donate to my last charity Susan G. Komen  race for the cure.

Also, I've  got 4 new Pucker Paste flavors!!  They are all awesome!
I've been researching for quite awhile on some new ones for summer and I think I picked winners.  They are Peach, Raspberry Lemonade, Cran-Grape and Plum Apricot.  I swear I'm in love....  I'm obsessed with the Pucker Paste...  I love finding new flavors for them.  Since I'm a "lip-balm" connoisseur, I'll never quit searching for the best flavors.

And Yuzu Japanese Grapefruit soap is back in stock and ready to go.

Jewelry: Farm Chicks Style

Farmchicksjewelry_2
Fun stuff huh?

Like I said before, it was such a good thing I had no room in my car for more than my apron and these....

The charm bracelet I got from my vendor neighbor.  She had some really great stuff and it makes me want to try to make them myself...  I think I have a disease... "See it and want to make it" disease.  Poor Jason.  Good thing he is so patient with me...  :)

Hope all you dads (maybe the one or two that read my blog...) had a great Fathers Day!

I'm hoping to have a new "Pay it Forward" up on Rose Petal Betty by the end of the day, or early tomorrow.  I'll also have a new charity to feature.  I'll be sure and post when I get it ready.

Thanks everyone!

The Apron

One of my best purchases at the Farm Chicks was this amazing apron by Bari J.

Apron1

But they look way cuter on the models on her site, let me just say that right now.  Goes nicely right around my middle where I'm the largest!  Oh well, I loooovvee it anyway!

Apron2

And the most fun thing is that they are super cute even on the back!

The  best thing about the whole show was just seeing everyones creativity.  It really got me revved up to try some new projects.  I'll let you know, when and if I get around to them...

I'll try and post my two other smaller purchases in the next day or two.

Farm Chicks Day 2

1. Jason didn't have to have his appendix removed..... yet.  Turns out it just kind of went away.  So I'm sure at some point he will have to have it removed, but not until he has more issues with it.  I say just yank that puppy out, but I guess that's one of many reasons why I'm not a doctor.

2. Okay, so most of the photos I'm posting today are from the second day of the show.  That means that A LOT of the cool stuff had probably already been snatched up.  But you could barely even get inside the venue until about 1:00pm and then that is when people started showing up at my booth to buy stuff, so I didn't make it in until the second day for anything other than a few quick peeks.

Farmchicksinside
This is just as you walked in the door and the day before it was amazing and still very good as you can see.  Do you see that window with a chandelier on it?  They had tons of those in different colors and sizes.  I loved them.  Good thing my car wouldn't hold anything else or I would have come home with tons of stuff.
Proof below....
Farmchickscar
I'm sure Jason was happy about how full I had my car on the way over there.  Seriously, I can't believe I got everything in there.  Next year I might need a small trailer.
Back to the cool photos.

Oh and one of the best things was that I met Heather and she was so nice and cute and her booth was amazing.  You can see a photo of it on her blog.  I didn't get one of hers unfortunately.

Farmchicksoutsideus

Here are some of the cute bags that Jason's mom made for the booth.  I have some left over that I'm going to sell on my site.  We had them as gift bags with Rose Petal Betty products in them and then we also sold them separately.  I have one that I use for traveling and I put all my cosmetics in.  They are so cute and handy for traveling. I hope to have some available sometime this weekend.

Here is the seamstress with a smile on in the rain! :)

Oh and Monica, yes that was your bench!  It came in very handy.

More tomorrow!
