About the Tulip Trip....  I promise...  :)
Tulipwindmill Grandmaboys Tulipcows Tulipdolphin So the photo with Grandma is of poor quality, but it was the best one I got of the three of them.  Tulips make much easier subjects than my two boys do...
The last photo shows a better photo of the dolphin on Ben's cheek.
Have a great day!!

Face Painting at Tulip Town

Getting your face painted is serious business to Sam apparently.  Not so serious for Ben.  I never saw them sit so still in all my life...
Ben wouldn't let me get a photo of his dolphin after is was painted...  He quickly got out of the chair after sitting still and started running around like a crazy man.  You would have thought he had been sitting for 5 hours, not 5 minutes.  Typical.

Tulip Crazy

I'm probably going to post waaaay too many tulip photos in the next few days...  You  have been warned.
This first orangey and yellow tulip was my favorite color and also my favorite shot of the all the flower shots I got.  Ask me tomorrow though and I may have a new favorite.  More photos of humans and tulips later...

Tulips

Jason's mom came out to help this week. Thank goodness, because it would have been difficult without out her!  Anyway, we are heading up to the big Tulip Festival today after school.  Just the little boys and Grandma and I.  Jason is going to stay home and relax.  We will be back on Saturday night and hopefully I'll have some nice photos next week!

He's good

We are back and Jason has just gotten better and better all day.  His surgery was at 1:15 and tonight he is drugged up and feeling great... :)  He just has a little bandage on the outside of his nose that we have to change every so often, not so bad.
Before this surgery one side of his nostrils was about 1/3 of the size of the other.  The doctor said it was pretty messed up and now when I change his bandage it totally looks normal and the right size finally.  I know this has just got to help him, I'm so happy it's over...

Surgery

Jason is having surgery today on his nose...  For a Deviated Septum.   He has tinnitus and is always congested, so they think if they fix his nose he might be less congested and therefore help relieve the ear ringing.

Anyway, if you could spare a good thought or a prayer we would certainly appreciate it...  I'll let you know how it goes tonight or tomorrow a.m.

Thanks!

Southworth Art and Garden Fair

I'll be HERE, on May 10th for the Southworth Art and Garden Fair.

This will be my first ever official "Fair" and I'm very excited.  I figured it would be a good way to get my feet wet, because it's only a 1 day event.  You know sometimes they are 3 or 4 days and that might push me over the edge, since I don't really know what I'm doing. :)

Now I just have to try and figure out how much Rose Petal Betty to take with me and how much to make....

Also in other BIG news.... I'm having my first ever RPB "party" at my friend Holly's house on May 3rd...  I'm very excited and looking forward to taking some new products to debut at her house and at the fair.  Come say hello at the fair if you are anywhere near Port Orchard on May 10... and we will pray the snow is gone by then for sure!

Tulipsnowaaannnd... it's still snowing.  My seeds and tubers I'm sure are not liking this one little bit!

Poor little Tulip

TulipJust look at my sorry little tulip...  It is in the front flower bed where it is constantly getting mowed over by little feet.  My kids feet and the neighbor kids feet...  And now.... it's getting snowed on!!  On April 19th!!  In the Puget Sound area!!  Crazy!!

I planted seeds here last weekend when it was almost 80 degrees.  I wonder if they won't grow now.  Alysium and Lobielia (hope I spelled those close to the right way).  So tell my all my expert gardeners.. will they die?  Oh no!  And what about my Dahlias and Freesia.... ACK!
